The General Chairman of the Central Board of Nahdlatul Ulama KH Hasyim Muzadi said here on Wednesday the 1945 Constitution that has now amended needs to be reviewed following problems and complicated affairs of state.
Hasyim expressed he personally didn’t agree to return to the 1945 Constitution. He suggested that there were parts have to be amended.
<>“I don’t agree to return to the 1945 Constitution. There are parts have to be amended. But the recent amendment has been out of the track resulting in complicated affairs of state,” he told NU Regional Leadership Council while coming to the NO office.He gave such an example that in our presidential cabinet system president still based himself on political parties in pointing ministers. It indicated, he added that there were such uncertainty of the national system of ours. “The loyalty of the ministers is for their parties more and more rather that their president.”
According to Hasyim, this condition was a reaction from the New Order system. He explained that “Formerly executives had dominated than parliament. From centralization to unstoppable decentralization.” (mkf)
