It has recently narrowed to be educational institutional only. “Alhamdulillah, there are now many pesantrens, possessing such hospitals and promoting cooperation,” Said the Under-Developed Regions Developments Minister, Saifullah Yusuf, as speaking to Congress participants in the Pesantren Darun Najah, South Jakarta, Monday (11/7).

Ready to Run, IPNU's Eight, IPPNU's Two Names

Jakarta, NU OnlineSince the IPNU and IPPNU Congress opened in Asrama Haji, Pondok Gede, Bekasi, Monday (10/7), the competition between candidates was increasingly heating up. Eights names were surely ready to compete in winning general chairman position of Nahdlatul Ulama Students Association (IPNU), deputizing for Mujtahidur Ridlo, the recent chairman of IPNU.   The eight names were Idy Muzayyad (Central Java), Fery Cokroaminoto (Central Sulawesi), Ahmad Wari (West Kalimantan), Arif Rahman (Central Java), Dedy Arisandi (Jakarta), Nur Hidayat (East Java), Hilman Nawawi (Central Java), and Asep Endang (West Java).

Adyaksa Dault: Good Organization, Good Forming of Cadres

Jakarta, NU OnlineState Minister for Youth and Sports Affairs Adhyaksa Dault agreed with what expressed by General Chairman of the Central Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) KH Hasyim Muzadi who expected Nahdlatul Ulama Students Association (IPNU) and Girl Students Association (IPPNU) to be cadre organization. According to the former of General Chairman of National Committee for Indonesian Youth (KNPI), a good organization could be seen from its forming process of cadres. “Organization is  considered good, its forming of cadres is also well-organized. If its input is well, its output is absolutely well,” said Minister.

KH Hasyim Muzadi: Hopefully the residents Bring Themselves Closer to God

Bantul, NU Online40 days post Saturday’s earthquake hit Yogyakarta and Central Java, Bantul’s nahdliyin (called as NU followers) commemorated the aftermath by conducting istighosah kubra (joint prayer) in Karang Anom, Wonokromo, Peret, Bantul, Thursday (6/7). The istighosah attended by millions of Bantul’s residents was located in the yard of al-Huda mosque. The joint prayer was intended to pray for 27 May’s quake victims. Thousands of the participants respectfully celebrated it under the command of KH Abdul Khaliq, a member of Supreme Council of Bantul’s Nahdlatul Ulama Branch Board (PCNU). Present also at the occasion General Chairman of the Central Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) KH Hasyim Muzadi.
