General Chairman of IPNU: Never make national examination as fixed price

Jakarta, NU OnlineGeneral Chairman of Nahdlatul Ulama Students Association (IPNU) Mujtahidur “Edo” Ridho expected government not to make three-day national examination (UN) as a fixed price. “Never make UN as a fixed price in determining students’ passing, but their other capacities, say that competence/skill or learning process as long as three years of study, that should also be a consideration. In this case, or course school council and teachers have served as well-informed sources,” Ridho told NU Online, Wednesday (28/6).

Ma’arif NU to expect National Examination to be repeated

Jakarta, NU OnlineMany hoped the national examination to be repeated for those students who failed during the exam, including Ma’arif Educational Institution of Nahdlatul Ulama (LP Ma’arif NU) and Religious Affairs Department, supervising about 11.000 schools of NU. Vice Chairman of PP LP Ma’arif Aceng Abdul Aziz said that the repeated exam was so important to give chance for students who failed the recent UN. Hopefully, they do not repeat the same exam next year. “Of course, it is disappointed for students who failed the recent exam if they may not follow the repetition exam, he said.

Muslimat NU to urge government to repeat national exam

Jakarta, Nu Online One of the NU autonomous bodies so called as Nahdlatul Ulama Women Organization (Muslimat NU) urged the government to repeat the national exam for students who did not pass. It again did not offer them to follow C Package. “Looking at the phenomenon of economic difficulties, making public frustration and other disasters hit some Indonesia’s regions, the government should take wisely and firmly steps. Respecting the national exam, the government could give more opportunity for those who failed to follow the repetition of the exam,” General Chairman of Muslimat NU Khofifah Indar Parawansa said on Sunday, (25/6).

Sleman, NU OnlineYogyakarta’s Regional Board of Nahdlatul Ulama Young Women Organization (Fatayat NU) conducted skill training (Training of Trainer/TOT) for women volunteers to give assistance to the Saturday’s victims. The activity was aimed at training the volunteers in assisting the victims to heal trauma as a result of the disaster. The training was conducted in Islamic “Ponpes” Boarding School Mlangi Timur, Sleman (Rabu/21). The three-hour activity was attended by 30 Fatayat and IPPNU’s volunteers from 5 regencies, namely Yogyakarta, Sleman, Kulonprogo, Bantul, and Gunungkidul.
