PBNU: Misleading sects emerge caused by leadership crisis

Gresik, NU Online General Chairman of the Central Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) KH Hasyim Muzadi has said that the misleading sects having been recently coming into existence were caused by leadership crisis that tend to have paid no more attention to people (ummat). Hasyim whom is President of the World Conference on Religions for Peace made the remark after delifering religious sermon on an occasion of what called as Haul Sunan Perapen in Kelangonan Village, Kebomas District, Gresik Regency, East Java on Saturday.

Three volcanoes simmering in Indonesia

Blitar, NU Online Scientists in Indonesia closely monitored three simmering volcanoes across the disaster-prone nation Friday, including the offspring of infamous Krakatau off Sumatra island. Ash has been spewing some 200 metres (yards) into the air since Tuesday at Anak Krakatau, or Child of Krakatau, the volcano left behind after Krakatau blew in 1883 and killed some 36,000 people, scientist Agus Budianto told AFP.

President conducts aerial survey of Lapindo mudflow area

Iran to give crushing response to possible attacks: minister

Palestinian president confident solution to Middle East crisis will be found

Police chief asks all parties to understand forced evacuation
