Tehran, NU Online The Netherlands Foreign Ministry Director General in Political Affairs Peter De Jovier in a meeting with Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki here Wednesday said his country has always believed that Iran has the right to use peaceful nuclear technology. Even drama, vocal art, plastic art, and letters were significantly used to build the nation’s character, so RI became a nation respected by international community. Its figures and people were appreciated by other nations for its character and much more prominent works.

Jakarta, NU Online General Chairman of the Advisory Board (Dewan Syuro) of the People Awakening Party (PKB) KH Abdurrahman "Gus Dur" Wahid has reminded the General Chairman of the Central Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) KH Hasyim Muzadi not to interfere with the party's internal conflict. "The PBNU has no such authority over the moves of the DPP PKB. That is because of two reasons. First the PBNU can not organizationally force the party's intentions. Council declares 'deviant' sect criteria

Jakarta, NU Online Following the controversy over the al-Qiyadah al-Islamiyah sect, the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) announced Tuesday 10 criteria that indicated an Islamic sect was "misguided". During the MUI's national working meeting, the council said that among the criteria for "misguided" sects were defying one of the Islamic six pillars of faith and believing in or following teachings that are not in line with the Koran and Sunnah as the source of Islamic teachings.
