The first step of the development process is by setting up a solid government. It is expected to be able to ensure people’s prosperity by undertaking such economic developments in all sectors. In the colonial era, economic sectors were dominated by foreign privates. While following the fall of the Dutch government coincided with the birth of independence, Dutch colonial authorities still possessed the assets. Though the age of the government was still young enough, yet it was absolutely driven by the spirit of revolution in order to liberate people. In addition, the government had with little fuss nationalized foreign companies such as banking, transportation, mining, and trade as well. It’s hard to cope for Indonesia to export. The Indonesia’s government was always accused of smuggling illegal things that were claimed as theirs or their foreign counterparts’.

Central govt asked to take over Lapindo mudflow problem

Sidoarjo, NU OnlineSidoarjo district head Win Hendrarso has expressed hope that the central government would fully take over the Lapindo mud flow problem in Porong if the technical team currently handling it failed to find a satisfactory solution by December. "If the technical team is unable to stop the hot mud flow in Porong by December, we are afraid it will become a lasting disaster. If this happens, the central government should fully take over the problem," the district chief said here on Tuesday (21/11).
